December 04, 2024 | Women's Indoor Track
IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine women's indoor track & field has announced its schedule for the 2025 season.
Β
"We are really looking forward to developing our women's indoor group through the months of January and February as they prepare to be at their best at the MPSF Championships," head coach Jeff Perkins said. "The new indoor facility in Reno allows for us to get onto a championship level track and prepare the ladies for what competition they are going to see in late February. The MPSF Indoor Championship will look a bit different this season with the addition of Washington State and Oregon State, and we are looking forward to getting an opportunity to compete against the best within their programs and the current MPSF members."Β
Β
The Anteaters travel to Reno, Nevada, for their first two meets, starting with the Silver & Blue Invitational, Jan. 10-11. They will make a return trip to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center two weeks later for the Nevada Invitational & Multis, Jan. 23-25. Both competitions will be held at the convention center's new indoor track facility that opened this month.
Β
The 'Eaters then get their first look at The Podium, Feb. 6-8, when they make their way to Spokane, Washington, for the Riverfront Invitational & Multis. That will be UCI's final tune-up before the MPSF Championships, which will also be held at The Podium for the fourth-straight year. The conference meet is slated for Feb. 21-22.
Β
Qualifying individuals will head to Virginia Beach, Virginia, for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, March 14-15.
