IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's water polo team has unveiled their 2025 slate.
The Anteaters open the campaign at the California Baptist Lancer Invitational on Jan. 24 where they will take on both Pomona-Pitzer and USC. That tournament is followed by a trip down to La Jolla for the Triton Invitational (Jan. 31-Feb. 2) for four games.
UC Irvine will take the quick trip up to Los Angeles for a Feb. 8 meeting with USC before welcoming UCLA on Feb. 15 to the Anteater Aquatics Complex for the 'Eaters home opener.
UCI will spend the following two weekends competing in their last two tournaments, first at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational (Feb. 21-23) and then the Pomona-Pitzer Convergence Invitational (Feb. 28-Mar. 1) combining for eight total games.
The Anteaters remain on the road as Big West action kicks off at nearby Cal State Fullerton on Mar. 5 and then UC San Diego (Mar. 8).
UC Irvine plays four straight games at home with two non-conference and two league games. On Mar. 12, the Anteaters will take part in a cross-town showdown with Concordia University Irvine before clashing with CSUN on Mar. 4. During the following week, UCI entertains both Brown (Mar. 25), UC Santa Barbara (Mar. 28), and the annual alumni competition (Mar. 29).
The month of April will see the first three of a four game month outside of Irvine. UCI's first trip of the month will be to the reigning Big West champions Hawai'i on Apr. 5. After a week back on the mainland, the Anteaters trek up to northern California for meetings with UC Davis (Apr. 12) and California (Apr. 13).
UCI caps the regular season off with the Black and Blue rivalry on Apr. 17 against Long Beach State.
UC Irvine is set to host the Big West Championship from Apr. 25-27 inside the Anteater Aquatics Complex. The tournament champion earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
