Mathias Winum saw his name for a second straight year on All-Big West First Team and fourth All-Big West honor in total leading one of the best defenses in the Big West.
Mario Anaya picked up his second career honor and first on the First Team from a pair of assists as the field general in the midfield. Forward
Agaton Pourshahidi joined the duo for his second honor joining All-Freshman Team status in 2022. He led the squad with seven goals and 16 points on the year

Brady Treinen, an All-Freshman Team member a year ago, and he added to his hardware after assisting on five goals to tie for the team lead and stabilize the backline alongside Winum
ÞÂ Honorable Mention was an Anteater newcomer
Misael Gonzalez who put home four of his five goals against Big West competition including both game-winning goals.
ÞÂ All-Freshman Team consistently deploys an Anteater, and
Marcus Lee was that in 2024. He scored twice with one game-winner and was dynamic on the field from game one.
· Adding on to the All-Big West recognition was three weekly awards for the Anteaters. Lee's game-tying goal with Vermont earned him Freshman of the Week in the early season. Pourshahidi's hat trick in late September was enough for Big West Offensive Player of the Week. The unheralded story of
Paul Jing peaked with his Big West Defensive Player of the Week accolade from a pair of Big West shutout wins in October
· The Anteaters reached the Big West Championship for a 13th time in this the 16th Big West Championship and fifth time in coach Raz's seven seasons. The 'Eaters were bounced in the semifinal after a resounding First Round victory over Cal State Fullerton. UC Irvine's 8-8-3 season came against the 11th-toughest non-conference schedule this year that featured three teams to make the NCAA Tournament and earning a point against them in addition to the two Big West schools representing and a win against the Championship winners, UC Davis.
· The Anteaters finished with 24 goals in 19 matches with
Agaton Pourshahidi topping the team with seven and 16 points. He even netted UCI's first hat trick since 2010 in a win against Utah Tech
· Newcomers played a role totaling 4,641 minutes and contributing nine goals, four game-winners, and six assists.
Misael Gonzalez put in five of those and his two game-winners tied for the team lead
· The 'Eaters were helpful posting 28 assists on the 24 goals.
Francesco Montanile had five before missing the final eight matches from injury, and
Brady Treinen tied him at that mark

Mathias Winum entered the Anteater record books with his 70th career start. He becomes the 13th Anteater to reach that mark, and he finishes with 77 career matches played as to
Josh Kenworthy and
Mario Anaya.
· UC Irvine's goalkeeping odyssey was one for the ages with five different 'Eaters in net helping to an 8-8-3 season including two field players, and as a unit they posted five shutouts, a 1.26 GAA, and 75 total saves:

Luke Pruter returned from two injuries to go 3-3-2 a year after hearing his name called in the draft. He is in UCI's top 10 now with 19 wins (6th), 14 shutouts (T3rd), 166 saves (8th), and a 1.35 goals-against-average (9th) while playing 53 career matches in the Anteater jersey, tied for fifth-most in program history

Alex Shields filled in admirably before he was lost to injury despite playing a full 90 in a win over Utah Tech. The third-year 'Eater got his first minutes and won twice and had 24 saves in six matches against worthy competition

Paul Jing was a regular student when the season started before joining the squad September 2. He stepped in and didn't allow a goal in 328 minutes picking up three shutout wins, stopping all 17 shots he saw, and was named Big West Defensive Player of the Week on October 21
ÞÂ UC Irvine needed the services of
Abraham Brown, subbing in for 32 minutes and nearly preserving a shutout at UC Riverside with two saves, and
Braden Ferreira making six saves in net in a 1-0 loss to No. 23 UC Santa Barbara
