Women's Water Polo Signs Seven To 2026 Roster

IRVINE, Calif.— UC Irvine women's water polo head coach Dan Klatt announces his seven signees joining the 2026 Anteater roster. 

Marisol Cowles | Attacker | La Cañada-Flintridge, Calif. | Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy
Marisol Cowles, a two-time All-Mission League First Team selection, attends Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy. During the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Cowles was named an All-American for her efforts. She is a 10-year participant with USA Water Polo.

Anya Frey | Attacker | Marin Country, Calif. | St. Ignatius College Preparatory
Anya Frey comes to UC Irvine from Marin Country. Frey is a four-year letter winner at St. Ignatius College Preparatory and is a three-time All-League First Team selection (2022, 2023, 2024). The attacker has spent time with USA Water Polo competing on the pipeline national team and has earned academic All-American honors.

Sydney Hagan | Attacker | San Diego, Calif. | The Bishop's School
Sydney Hagan heads up from San Diego where she was an attacker at The Bishop's School. Hagan is a four-year letter winner and named to the All-CIF Second Team her junior season.

Chloe Patist | Defender | Tustin, Calif. | Foothill HS
Chloe Patist makes her way to Irvine from Tustin. Patist lettered all four years in water polo at Foothill High School. During her time with the Knights, the defender helped her team to an Open Division State Championship title in 2023 and her hard work led her to All-CIF honors in both 2023 and 2024. In her time with USA Water Polo, Patist earned First Team All-American (2023) and Second Team All-American (2022) selections while medaling three-times as a Junior Olympian, one silver and two bronze. The incoming freshman has family ties to UC Irvine as her brother, Dylan Patist, played on the men's water polo team from 2020-23.

Annie Peak | Goalkeeper | Norco, Calif. | Norco HS
Annie Peak comes to UC Irvine by way of Norco High School where she holds the records in all goalkeeper statistical categories. Peak is a four-year letterwinner and is a two-time Big VIII All-League First Team selection. Additionally, the goalkeeper is a three-year scholar athlete.

Jess Reagan | Center | Long Beach, Calif. | Mater Dei HS
Jess Reagan, a center, comes from Mater Dei High School where she lettered in both swim (four years) and water polo (two years). With the water polo team, Reagan is a CIF and Regional Championships finalist and went to the CIF and State Championships for swimming in 2023. The center also played for the SOCAL Water Polo Club where she won a silver medal in the Junior Olympics.

Michelle Urkov | Attacker | Huntington Beach, Calif. | Orange Lutheran HS
Michelle Urkov heads over to UC Irvine from Orange Lutheran High School. Urkov lettered and was a starter all four years as a Lancer. The attacker helped her team to back-to-back CIF Open Division championships while placing on the All-League Second Team both her sophomore and junior years. Out of the pool, Urkov is a three-time Academic All-American and three-time honor roll student.
