CORVALLIS, Ore. - The UC Irvine men's golf team is tied for second after two rounds of the Oregon State Invitational Monday at Trysting Tree Golf Club.

The Anteaters combined for a 36-hole score of 5-under 563 to tie with Kansas City. Host Oregon State enters tomorrow's final round with a five-stroke lead.

OSU's Rylan Johnson also sits atop the individual leaderboard at 10-under.

JJ Nakao leads the 'Eaters in a tie for eighth (140) after firing back-to-back rounds of 1-under 70. Nakao had seven birdies on the day and eagled the par-5, 574-yard 16th hole in the opening round.

Rei Harashima found his rhythm in the second round where he carded a 67 (-4) to climb 29 spots in the standings. He had four of his eight birdies, while adding an eagle on the par-5, 611-yard fifth hole. Harashima is tied for 10th at 1-under 141 (74-67).

Jason Tang is also tied for 10th with a two-round total of 141 (71-70). After coming in at even-par through the first 18, Tang registered a 1-under to close out the day. He recorded a team-leading nine birdies.

Jack Yu is tied for 21st with a 143. Yu had a sub-70 second round, finishing with four birdies against just one bogey for a 68 (-3).

Owen Davis-Piger rounded out UCI's lineup in a tie for 39th (146).
