ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UC Irvine women's indoor track & field team competed in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Mia Marquez led the Anteaters with an indoor 400m personal-record 56.15. Her altitude-adjusted time of 56.26 is second on UCI's all-time charts.

In the 600m, senior
Alexis Alexander clocked a lifetime-best 1:35.88, seeing a one-second improvement on her No. 4 mark in program history. Sophomore
Reina Kabbara (1:38.04) and freshman
Isabella Duarte (1:38.14) also notched personal bests that rank seventh and eighth, respectively, among UC Irvine's all-time leaders.

In her collegiate debut, freshman
Hallena Sutherland registered a 60m time of 7.82 seconds, which ranks 10th in school history.

Junior
Jazzmine Davis led seven 'Eaters in the 60m hurdle prelims with a time of 8.62 seconds. She finished 11th in a field of 50 athletes.

Kailah McKenzie and junior
Jolie Robinson both had top-10 showings in the high jump. McKenzie cleared a personal-record 1.67 meters (5-5.75) to tie for seventh. She moved up one spot into a tie for fourth in program history. Robinson was just short of her PR at 1.62m (5-3.75) to tie for 10th.

Robinson added a season-best 5.84m (19-2) in the long jump. She matched her lifetime best which ranks second in school history. Junior
Chelsea Kerr also notched a season-best 10.88m (35-8.5) in the triple jump.

Deandra Tyler was UC Irvine's top perfomer in both the shot put (14.28m/46-10.25) and weight throw (16.11m/52-10.25). Sophomore
DeAna Davis added a PR 15.07m (49-5.5) in the weight throw to move up one spot to No. 8 among UCI's top-10.

UC Irvine will be back in action, Feb. 1-3, when it heads to Spokane, Washington, for the Riverfront Invitational & Multis.
