Third Period Scoring Spurt Lifts UCI Over Biola, 18-7

Box Score LA JOLLA, Calif. – In the first ever meeting in program history, the UC Irvine men's water polo team came away with the 18-7 victory over Biola in the final game of the weekend.
 
KEY MOMENT
  • Freshman Johann Thrall converted his five-meter shot late in the second period to ignite the Anteaters dominant offense in the remaining few minutes of the half and the momentum lasted all the way through the third period

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Junior Jacob Pyle played all 32 minutes in the net
  • Pyle blocked Biola's five-meter penalty shot
  • Thrall led all players in goals with five and put three of them in the cage in the third period
  • Luka Krstic, Samuel Otta, and Thrall have extended their scoring streaks to four games
