
Six Anteaters Head to Tulsa for ITA All-American Championships

IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's tennis team will be sending six individuals to the 2023 ITA All-American Championships, which gets underway this weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Enrique Luque Rico, Hiroki Sakagawa, Noah Zamora, Rithvik Krishna, Brandon Park and Ali Amiri have all been invited to compete in the prestigious tournament. It is the second consecutive appearance for Amiri and Zamora.
The ITA All-American Championships start with the pre-qualifying singles round, Sept. 30-Oct. 1. The Anteater contingent is part of the 256-player field that will be vying for 16 spots in the qualifying draw, Oct. 2-3. The main draw (48 automatic, 16 qualifiers) will then take place, Oct. 4-8.
Doubles will also start with a qualifying round of 64 teams (Oct. 2-3), prior to the main draw (Oct. 4-8).
Luque Rico and Zamora were both first-team All-Big West selections last year, while Krishna received an honorable mention nod. In addition, Zamora and Park teamed up to earn first-team recognition in doubles.
This is the third-straight year UC Irvine will have multiple representatives at the ITA All-American Championships.
