>UC Irvine enters the week ranked 12th in the CWPA Preseason Poll, dropping three spots after a week off of action

Samuel Otta was named the Big West Player of the Week on Sept. 13 for his seven goals, seven assists, four drawn exclusions, nine steals, three field blocks, and two sprint wins in a 2-1 week for UC Irvine
>This is the program's first Big West weekly honor in their inaugural year in the league as well as the redshirt sophomore's first career honor
>The Anteaters will play in the Overnght/MPSF Invitiational this weekend in Los Angeles and are paired in Group A with No. 1/1 California, No. 11/10 Long Beach State, and Whittier
>UCI is set to face No. 11/10 Long Beach State in the first match up of the weekend
>The Beach enters the weekend with an 8-2 overall record, picking up wins over Long Beach City College (25-3) and Biola (18-9) over the weekend while suffering an overtime defeat (11-10) at UC San Diego
