IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's track & field team kicks off the 2023 Big West Championships with the heptathlon, May 5-6, at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Track Complex.

Chaselyn Amos,
Shaelyn Amos and
Laura Sangiacomo are slated to compete in this weekend's multi-event championship.

Robinson enters the meet ranked second in the conference with a personal-record 5,074 points, which she set at the Mt. SAC Relays. Her score ranks eighth in program history. The Mission Viejo native is also third among UCI's all-time leaders in the long jump at 5.97m (19-7), and seventh in the javelin at 41.92m (137-6). She registered both of those top-10 marks last weekend at the Steve Scott Invitational. Robinson, a sophomore transfer from Saddleback College, was the 2022 California Community College Athletic Association state champion in the heptathlon, javelin and long jump.

Twins Chaselyn and Shaelyn are in their second year as heptathletes. Earlier this season at the UCSB Invitational (March 8-9), Shaelyn registered a lifetime-best 4,306 points, while Chaselyn came in with a PR 4,155. They both rank among the top-15 in The Big West.

Sangiacomo made the switch from the pole vault to the heptathlon prior to the 2023 season. She completed her first multi-event competition with 3,762 points at the Bryan Clay Invitational, April 13-14.

All four Anteaters will be making their Big West heptathlon debut.
