UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - The UC Irvine men's golf team is 10th through two rounds of the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course.

The Anteaters finished Monday's action with a 36-hole score of 587 (300-287). They saw a 13-stroke improvement in the second round to climb four spots in the standings.

Idaho leads the 17-team field at 10-under 558. Northern Colorado also came in below par at 3-under 565. Individually, host Seattle U's Nathan Cogswell (135) will take a three-stroke advantage into tomorrow's final round. Â

Jin Nakao and
Rei Harashima led the 'Eaters at 3-over 145. Nakao closed out the day with UCI's best round of the tournament, carding a 70 (-1) to move up 29 spots into a tie for 22nd.

Harashima is also tied for 22nd after posting scores of 72 and 73.

Andy Zou is tied for 49th (149), while
Johnny Bai is tied for 70th (152).

Darien Zhao withdrew from the opening round before notching an even-par 71 in the second.
