FULLERTON, Calif. - Amari Fraser and
Deandra Tyler combined for four event wins to lead the UC Irvine women's track & field team Thursday at The Battle in the OC.

Tyler took first in both the hammer and shot put. Her meet-record 173-6 was just over a foot shy of her PR that ranks sixth in program history.
DeAna Davis added a runner-up finish with a personal-best 161-9 to crack UCI's all-time top-10.
Sydney Gontang also notched a lifetime-best 155-11 to place fourth.

Tyler went on to earn her fourth shot put victory of the season with a toss of 48-9.
Nadia Combs-Mahone took third with a PR 43-3.

On the track,
Amari Fraser was a double champion in the hurdles. Fraser won the 400H in a personal-record 60.71 to rank 10th in program history. She also ran a season-best 14.10 to finish first in the 100H.

Nyla Baker paced the 'Eaters in the discus with a second-place showing. She unleashed a nine-foot PR of 151-2 to rank 10th in school history.

Naiya Edwards cleared a personal-record 5-1.25 in the high jump, and
Jolie Robinson was second in the long jump (19-2).

Mia Marquez led nine 'Eaters in the 200m with a runner-up showing (25.02).
Alana Odom (25.04),
Aryel Coats (25.08) and
Samantha Bartz (25.09) all clocked season bests to round out the top-five. Coats added a fourth-place finish in the 100m (12.34).

Hana Nip claimed runner-up honors in the 1500m, crossing the finish line in a season-best 4:44.52, and
Reina Kabbara took third in the 800m at 2:19.43.

UC Irvine returns to Anteater Stadium next weekend when it hosts the Steve Scott Invitational, April 28-29.
