NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Boise State Friday afternoon at Palisades Tennis Club.

Brandon Park and
Noah Zamora continued their unbeaten streak at the top of the doubles lineup, defeating John Chin and Caden Moortgat, 6-3. Park/Zamora, who made their debut on Feb. 18, are 4-0 as a pair.

Boise State (6-2) ended up taking the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3. For the second match in a row, it came down to court two where
Ali Amiri and
Thomas Smart dropped a hard-fought decision as they fell to Simon Arca Costas and Michael Bott, 7-5.

In singles, the Broncos won in straight sets at the third, fifth and sixth positions to clinch the victory.

On court four,
Rithvik Krishna was on the comeback trail against Moortgat as he was up 3-6, 6-3, 3-1 when the match was abandoned.
Enrique Luque Rico was also tied with Sam Sippel in the third set (6-2, 2-6, 1-1) at No. 1, while
Noah Zamora took a 5-4 lead in the second frame after dropping the first, 6-4, to Arca Costas.

UC Irvine (1-6) is back home at Anteater Tennis Stadium on Sunday, March 5, when it plays host to Army at 11 a.m.
