Box Score EUGENE, Oregon – UC Irvine couldn't stop Oregon from long range in a 84-58 loss in the National Invitational Tournament first round game at Matthew Knight Arena. 
 
The Ducks hit 12-28 from long distance (0.429), while the Anteaters were just 4-23 (0.174). 
 
UCI ends the season with a 23-12 overall record, the program's 13^th 20-win season overall and eighth under head coach Russell Turner. 
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Guard Dawson Baker led UCI with 16 points, going 7-16 from the floor
>Forward Devin Tillis posted a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points
>Guard DJ Davis hit three three-pointers for nine points all in the second half
>Center Bent Leuchten added seven points and four rebounds

>Bent Leuchten hit a floater and was fouled to bring UCI to 7-9 at 16:15 only to watch Oregon drain a three on the other end, 7-12 (15:59)
>Baker answered with his own jumper at 15:28, 9-12
>In the first eight minutes of action, the Anteaters were 4-20 from the floor and 0-6 from long range, while the Ducks were 3-6 from beyond the arc
>Neither team would score for three minutes until Oregon hit a pair of free throws, 16-9 (11:49)
>UCI rallied with a second-chance layup by Chazz Hutchinson (11:17), a layup all alone underneath by Andre Henry on a pass from Pierre Crockrell II (10:58) and a free throw by Henry (9:26) to edge UCI within two (14-16)  at 9:26
>The Ducks answered with a 12-0 run over 2:02 to open a 28-14 lead at 7:53
>Baker stopped the streak with a layup (6:56) followed by a tip-in by Tillis (6:22), 18-28

>Oregon hit their sixth three-pointer of the half with 31 seconds left to go into the locker room with a 35-22 lead

SECOND HALF
>DJ Davis hit UCI's second three-pointer at 18:43, 27-38
>Baker would hang in the air and draw contact, making the basket and the free throw, 32-41 (16:33)
>Another three from Davis cut the deficit to a single digit (39-48) at 14:03
>Oregon would score the next five until Leuchten had a layup underneath at 12:31 (41-53)
>An up-and-under by Baker made it 45-58 (8:44)
>The Ducks outscored UCI, 14-5, to open a 72-50 advantage with 4:37 to play
