OFF THE TEE
UC Irvine will stay close and compete in The Beach Invitational at the Mission Viejo Country Club Monday-Tuesday (Feb.27-28).
Teams will play two rounds on Monday starting at 8:15 a.m. with a final round Tuesday beginning at 8:20 a.m.
The course plays at 6,188 yards and Par 72.
The tournament field includes host Long Beach State, Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Murray State, New Mexico State, Northern Illinois, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Santa Clara, UCLA and Wofford.

Charlotte Ryoo will compete for the Anteaters.
Olivia Canales and
Gabby Gonzalez will compete as an individuals.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE
UCI started the spring season with a seventh-place finish at The Valley Invitational 920 (306-305-309).
Megan Yang (80-73-75) and
Jasmine Chen (73-77-78) tied for 19
th with a score at 228. Yang was tied for fifth in birdies for the tournament with nine. Chen followed with eight.
