IRVINE, Calif. – The Anteaters face No. 23 Loyola Marymount on Thursday Feb. 16 before heading to No. 2 Southern California on Saturday Feb. 18 for a 1 p.m. start.

>UCI enters the weekend with a 7-5 record and rank sixth according to the CWPA weekly poll
>No. 23 Loyola Marymount heads into the contest with a 3-7 record, earning wins over RV California Baptist, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and Concordia (Calif.)
> LMU recently faced No. 8 Long Beach State where they fell, 17-13
>The 'Eaters broke the all-time deadlock to now hold the slight advantage, 17-16, after the 12-5 UCI win at the Triton Invitational
>No. 2 Southern California enters the contest with a 8-0 overall record and most recently won the Triton Invitational championship title
>UCI and USC met in the semifinal round of the tournament and the Trojans came away with the 15-8 victory
>The Anteaters have not won a contest against the Trojans in their all time series
>No. 2 Southern California finished the season with a 20-4 overall record and a perfect 6-0 in the MPSF

WEEKEND RECAP
>No. 6 UC Irvine outshot their opponents, 55-44
>The Anteaters fell to No. 3 UCLA 12-9 before defeating Whittier 19-2 later in the day
>Elena Flynn and Nioka Thomas rank fifth and eighth respectively in the Big West in goals scored (26 and 24)
>Erin Tharp and Faith Tedesco land eighth and ninth in the conference in saves with 28 and 26 so far this season
>Flynn notched the hat-trick over No. 3 UCLA, going 3-12 at the cage and added one goal in the victory over Whittier
>Gabby Norris earned her first career hat-trick in the 19-2 win over the Poets
>Gracie Helberg finished the weekend with four goals, scoring two in each of the contests
>Jessica Lynch dished out two assists in the loss to the Bruins
>In the win over Whittier, Jordan Frost and Mica Schiavone distributed the ball twice to set up scoring plays for UCI
