UC Irvine Meets Princeton In First Round Of NCAA Championship

IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine will face No. 4 seeded Princeton in the first round of the NCAA Championship Dec. 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
The Anteaters, who were Big West regular season champions, earned the Big West automatic bid after capturing the Big West Championship with an 11-9 victory over UC Santa Barbara.
Earlier this season, UCI and Princeton squared off in Irvine on Oct. 15 where the Anteaters faced an 11-9 setback against the Tigers.
It is UCI's 22nd NCAA appearance and first since 1993. The Anteaters have won three national NCAA Championship titles (1989, 1982, 1970).
