NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The Anteaters defeated both Pacific and Youngstown State in the opening day of the CSUN Fall Invite.
UC Irvine took the doubles point from the Tigers, earning their two wins at the No. 2 and 3 slots. The duo of
Kayla Meraz and Gidwani were taken to extra points where they were able to escape with the 7-6 (7-4) victory. Sophomores
Haily Huynh and
Cydney Yamamoto rolled to the 6-1 win, their first ever win together as a pairing.

Three matches in singles action went into extra sets, but Meraz was the only one to take a point. Both sophomore
Larissa Teramura (No. 4) and senior
Emily Fowler (No. 7) earned their wins by the same score of 6-3, 6-1 while
Haily Huynh (No. 3) recorded her win 6-1, 6-3.
