SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's tennis team wrapped up action at the UCSB Fall Classic Sunday at Arnhold Tennis Center.

UCI started the final day of the tournament by going 2-0 in doubles. Junior
Rithvik Krishna and senior
Matthew Sah upended UCLA's Spencer Johnson and Timothy Li, 8-5. It was the first victory of the season for Krishna/Sah, while they improved to 6-2 as an Anteater duo.

Freshman
Andy Nguyen and junior
Lawee Sherif won their second doubles match of the weekend, taking down Alfred Almasi/Paolo Rosati of Grand Canyon, 8-4.

Sherif carried the momentum into his singles match where he dispatched San Diego State's Robin Parts, 6-0, 6-2. Sherif finished the weekend with a 2-2 record.

Krishna was the only other 'Eater to compete in singles on Sunday. He fell to Colter Smith (Cal Poly) in straight sets.

Up next for UC Irvine will be the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in Malibu, California, Oct. 19-23.
