LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC Irvine fell in four sets at UC San Diego (22-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-10) inside LionTree Arena Saturday evening.

UCI would hit .096 to UCSD's .252. The Tritons also out-blocked 15-7 and out-aced (7-3) the Anteaters.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Opposite Hunter Riedl was the lone Anteater in double-digit kills with 10 kills. She also had four digs and two block assists
>Libero Campbell Jensen led the Anteaters with 15 digs
>Setter Nicole Feliciano posted a double-double on 24 set assists and 10 digs. She also added an ace and three kills, an ace and a block assist.
>Outside hitter Marianna Bertolone had eight kills, while Keelan Williams would record a season-high six kills and five digs
>Ava McInnes had a match-best 17 kills and 18 digs. Two other Tritons followed with double-figure digs, Sabire Karacaova (11) and Natalie Repetti (12)

FIRST SET
>UCI led 3-0 on two Triton attack errors and a kill by Hunter Riedl off the block
>UCSD would go on a 5-1 run and move ahead 5-4
>Emma Napoleon stepped on the court and recorded a kill that was followed by another from Isabella Scarlett, 8-7
>UCSD went on a 9-2 run which included three Triton blocks to open a 22-16 lead   
>UCSD held set point but the Anteaters continued to battle scoring three in a row, two on Riedl blocks, one with Scarlett and the other with Ella Gardiner, 22-24
>A Triton attack trickled over the net for a kill to end the set, 25-22

SECOND SET
>Two UCSD errant attacks and a Riedl kill once again were UCI's first three points, 3-1
>Five in a row by the Tritons gave UC San Diego a 6-3 lead
>Kills by Riedl, Napoleon and Gardiner were followed by a UCSD attack error to put the Anteaters back in front, 8-7
>Three Anteater errors and two UCSD kills catapulted the Tritons to a 13-9 lead
>Back-to-back blocks extended the UC San Diego lead to 16-10
>Keelan Williams came off the bench to spark a 5-0 run with a kill, tying the set at 17-17
>A 3-0 spurt capped by another Williams' kill put UCI in front, 22-19
>A Gardiner kill on an overpass gave UCI set point, 24-21
>UCSD rallied on three of their own to keep the set going, 24-24
>A Scarlett kill was followed by a Nicole Feliciano ace to give UCI the 26-24 victory

THIRD SET
>UCSD started with an early 5-1 lead
>UCI got back in the set on a kill by Williams and a block by Gardiner and Feliciano, 3-5
>Two Triton attack errors and an ace by Campbell Jensen tied the set at 8 all
>A marathon point was ended by a Williams' stuff block forcing a UCSD timeout, 12-14
>UC San Diego broke open the set with five in a row to start a 8-1 run that included two aces, 23-14
>A pair of UCI kills delayed the set winner for UC San Diego, 25-17

FOURTH SET
>UCSD jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead
>Five in a row by UCSD forced a UCI timeout, 13-3
>The Tritons would roll to a 25-10 victory
