Enrique Luque Rico Moves on to Qualifying Draw

TULSA, Okla. - Enrique Luque Rico is moving on to the qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships after picking up two more wins Sunday at the University of Tulsa.
 
Luque Rico, who had a pair of straight-set victories yesterday, continued to roll through the prequalifying singles round. He was nearly flawless in his first match of the day, defeating Dimitris Paliouras of Georgia Southern, 6-2, 6-0.
 
In the Round of 32, Luque Rico was pitted against Vanderbilt's Juan Lopez De Azcona for one of 16 berths into the Qualifying Draw. Luque Rico battled to a 7-5 victory in the first set before carrying the momentum into the second frame where he cruised to the 6-1 win.
 
In other action, Noah Zamora fell to Togan Tokac of Texas A&M, 6-4, 6-2, in the Round of 64.
 
Hiroki Sakagawa and Rithvik Krishna both earned their first wins of the fall tournament season in the prequalifying back draw. Sakagawa dispatched Arkansas' Jake Sweeney 6-4, 6-2, while Krishna upended Loris Zisswiller of Nevada, 7-6 (9-7), 6-4.
 
Luque Rico will be right back in action tomorrow with the start of the Qualifying Singles Draw (128 players).
