PONOMA, Calif. – No. 9 UC Irvine men's water polo (7-6) competed in their second straight overtime contest, earning the 19-17 win over No. 16 California Baptist (8-7).

FIRST PERIOD
>Down by two, Jake Liechty (4:17) found the back of the cage on the one man advantage
>Within a minute, Ethan Shipman (3:39) and Zlatan Nikocevic (2:49, 2:05) beat the goalie for the lead
>Cal Baptist knotted it at four a piece before Jasper Dale (1:10) lifted one into the top right corner, assisted from Shipman
>Stewart Campbell (0:34) got in on the offensive action before the end of the period
 
SECOND PERIOD
>Tyler Padua (6:51) scored first in the period before Liechty found Campbell (4:55) on the power play opportunity
>Shipman (2:37) fired a shot to the back of the net off a Lancer turnover
>Jack Stevens (0:28) deposited a goal from Shipman followed by Dylan Patist's (0:01) goal to close out the first half of play
 
THIRD PERIOD
>Campbell (7:14) notched the hat-trick to start the third period
>Cal Baptist scored four unanswered in the period, leading 13-12
 
FOURTH PERIOD
>With his fourth goal of the contest, Campbell (3:20) earned the first goal between the two squads during the final eight minutes
>Liechty (2:11) was able to convert on the one man advantage, completing regulation with a 14-14 tie

OVERTIME
>Patist (2:10) earned his second of the contest in the first overtime period with Campbell (0:55) earning his fifth of the contest
>Nikocevic (0:27) dented the twine, giving the Anteaters the one-point advantage heading into the second overtime period
>46 seconds into the second overtime Nikocevic (2:14) notched the second Anteater hat-trick of the game
>Lietchy (0:33) scored the game winner for UC Irvine while earning his first hat-trick of the season
