UCI Concludes Busy Week at Beach Invitational

LONG BEACH, Calif. -
The UC Irvine men's track & field team closed out a busy week Saturday at the Beach Invitational.
 
Noah Holm established a collegiate personal-record 57-11.5 in the shot put to place fifth in a field of 75 athletes. Holm moved up one spot to No. 4 in program history. Kyle Tsu was 21st with a toss of 54-06.5, while Jacob Hawkins notched a lifetime-best 51-03.75. Hawkins also matched his personal best in the discus at 177-09. He came in 12th out of 91 competitors.
 
On the track, Drew Pickett finished 12th in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 14.26 seconds.
 
Malcolm Overbaugh was 12th in the 200m where he ran a season-best 21.61. Carlo Reyes added a season-best 22.13.
 
Overbaugh also led the Anteaters in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 49.19, while Eric Parker wasn't far behind at 49.44.
 
Reyes, Overbaugh, Parker and Seth Enochs combined to run a time of 42.01 seconds in the 4x100 relay.
 
Enochs contributed a top-20 showing in the long jump with a leap of 23 feet.
 
UC Irvine is back in action on Friday, April 22, when it makes the short trip to Fullerton for The Battle in the OC.
