LOS ANGELES, Calif. & AUSTIN, Texas - UC Irvine women's track & field had a split squad in action Friday at UCLA's Bob Larsen Distance Invitational and the Texas Relays.

The distance crew had an impressive showing at UCLA, led by
Montgomery Allison, who became the sixth Anteater in program history to break the 11-minute mark in the steeplechase. She clocked in with a personal-record 10:55.69 to finish fifth out of 20 overall competitors. Allison moved up five spots to No. 4 on UCI's all-time charts.

Anna Vogtmann made her way into UC Irvine's top-10 in her 5000m collegiate debut. Vogtmann crossed the finish line in 16:52.68, which was the fifth-fastest time of the evening and eighth-fastest in school history.
Sameen Andar wasn't far behind in sixth with a lifetime-best 16:56.89.

Claire Livengood paced a trio of 'Eaters in the 1500m Invite with a personal-best 4:41.22 (18th).
Maggie Sczupak was also among the top-20 with a season-best 4:43.71. In the Open section,
Nikki Fulcomer took fourth in a personal-record 4:53.05, and
Sophia Zago added a season-best 5:00.01 to place sixth.

UC Irvine took two of the top-three spots in the javelin and hammer.Â
Kassidy Sani was the runner-up in both events with marks of 138-00 and 153-11, respectively. Her toss in the hammer was a lifetime-best.Â
Laura Lindquist was also third in the javelin with a personal-best 134-11, while
Deandra Tyler took thrid in the hammer (149-07).

Over at Mike A. Myers Stadium for the Texas Relays,
Reyna Johnson ran a season-best 14.24 to finish 12th out of 51 in the 100m hurdles.
Amari Fraser contributed a top-20 showing, placing 18th with a time of 14.39 seconds.

In the relays,
Mia Marquez, Fraser,
Zani Meaders and
Jennifer Daly took seventh in the 4x400 at 3:49.64, while Johnson, Meaders, Marquez and
Aryel Coats combined for an eighth-place performance in the 4x100 (47.78).

Coats also competed in the 100m (12.31). Â

UC Irvine is back in action on Saturday, March 26, for the final day of the Texas Relays, as well as the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational.
