BEAVERTON, Ore. --- UC Irvine's weekend in Oregon finished against Portland State at Tualatin Hills Tennis Center losing 4-0 on Sunday.
Doubles play was a quick point for Portland State (4-3) winning at courts 1 and 3. The Anteater duo of
Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico and
Jenna Schlatter held a 5-3 lead at the time the point was clinched.
On to singles where the 'Eaters fell behind losing five of six opening sets.
Alyssia Fossorier was the only one successful in her opening singles set winning after down 4-1, but was unable to finish her match along with
Emily Fowler and
Jessica Tsukiji who took their matches to a third set before the Vikings wrapped up the three points they needed to take the 4-0 win.
The 'Eaters return from Oregon with one win in three matches. They'll head to play at Chapman and Caltech in the upcoming week.
