8-6 OT Loss vs. #6 Hawai'i
A tightly-contested afternoon match was never more than a one-goal match until the very end between the sixth and seventh-ranked squads.  The teams traded goals early with Hawai'i (5-1) starting things off and taking a 2-1 lead out of the first period.

UCI started the second quarter with its first two goals and Elena Flynn putting UCI ahead at the 4:16 mark. The Rainbow Wahine roared back to take the lead back in the final minute of the half to lead, 4-3.

The Anteaters chased Hawai'i throughout the second half tying things up on a Piper Smith shot in the third and a Jessica Lynch goal in the fourth, but they found themselves down a goal with 4:38 left to play. UCI held possession as the final minute began, and Tara Prentice rose up to bury the game-tying goal with 50 seconds left to send it to overtime tied, 6-6.

UCI had no answer for Hawai'i in the extra frames as the Bows would score in each period to pull away and win, 8-6.

Four players finished with a game-high two goals including UCI's scoring leader Jessica Lynch to give her five on the day.

The loss ends UCI's win streak at three games with two more matches coming up Sunday starting with Black & Blue Rivalry Series foe No. 13 Long Beach State at 8:00 a.m.
