Box Score IRVINE, Calif. -- Bent Leuchten had a career-high 20 points to lead UC Irvine to a 79-64 non-conference victory over Loyola Marymount University Tuesday evening at the Bren Events Center. Â

Leuchten went 7-8 from the floor, including 2-2 from three. The sophomore, who recorded 13 of his points in the second half, added four rebounds and a block in 22 minutes of action.Â

The Anteaters, who are receiving votes in the AP Top 25 Poll, improve to 3-0 on the season. Â

>Guard Dawson Baker would score 19 points, going 7-15 from the field and 4-4 from the line
>Guard DJ Davis would hit 3-9 from three-point range and 4-4 from the stripe to end with 15 points

We had to gut up and make some plays in the second half to secure the win, but I thought the story of the game was how we wore them down in the first half. I thought our second unit was dominate defensively and played great offense too."

>Bent Leuchten put up the game's first points on a jumper at 19:22, 2-0
>LMU would score the next five to move in front at 17:17, 5-2
