UCI HEAD COACH RUSSELL TURNER
"I thought we were ready tonight. It's not easy to be ready throughout the season, but we were ready tonight and that's a reflection of the guy's commitment. We know we haven't played particularly well for a stretch here, but we are going to work to get back to what we've got in this team. This team is competitive, can defend at a high level. Tonight, I thought we were exceptionally unselfish, maybe too unselfish at times. We made some important plays at the rim tonight."

"You can see Justin's (Hohn) talent, its undeniable when you watch him play and he's getting better there is no question. He is controlling the ball and controlling the game like a great point guard is asked to do."

"We need to talk about Isaiah Lee and the combination of Isaiah and Justin in that position can be really outstanding. Everyone focuses on the offensive performance of those guys, but we shut down Camren Pierce, the most critical guy to shut down on Cal Poly's team."

GUARD JUSTIN HOHN ON KEY TO HIS CAREER-HIGH PERFORMANCE
"Trusting my guys. When your coaching staff and teammates have confidence in you it's hard to screw that up. I'm just trying to play the game the way I know how."

NOTES
>It is the second consecutive Saturday Hohn has scored a career-best 13 points
>UCI's 72 points are the fourth most this season
>Austin Johnson added two blocks to his league-leading total, 38
>UCI committed a season-high 24 fouls

UP NEXT
>UCI hits the road for the next two, beginning at UC Santa Barbara Thursday (Feb. 3) for a 7:00 p.m. game at the Thunderdome.
