Anteater Duo Compete For U.S. At Pan American Cup

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UC Irvine sophomores Cole Gillis and Francesco Sani will represent USA Volleyball at the 2021 Men's Pan American Cup Sept. 3-9 in Santo Domingo, Dominic Republic.
The duo is making their debut in international competition with the U.S. Men's team. Newcomer Cole Power was also named to the team, but will not travel to Santo Domingo.
The five-match round robin starts Friday, Sept. 3. The top four teams will play in the semifinal on Wednesday, September 8, while Nos. 5 and 6 will play for fifth.
Other countries in the tournament include: Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Suriname.
The U.S. has captured seven medals at previous events, including five golds.
