UC Irvine Athletics is excited to welcome back fans for the Fall 2021 seasons. The following guidelines are in place for all Fall home events on the UCI campus for the health and welfare of our community.
UCI Athletics will align with the latest state guidance regarding indoor and outdoor events as well as county, city, and campus directives. Please note that guidelines may be updated at any time. Bren Events Center
Fans attending events at the Bren Events Center are be expected to adhere to the following guidelines.
- Proof of Vaccination or Negative Covid Test – Beginning September 20, 2021 and in accordance with guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), UC Irvine Athletics will require fans (age 2 and older) in attendance to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before an event starts. These guidelines are subject to change and are in place until November 1, 2021 or unless otherwise directed by the CDPH. Vaccination Policy
- Facial Coverings – All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask while indoors at UCI facilities. UCI Campus Face Covering Guidance
- Tickets – This season mobile-only ticketing has been implemented, enhancing the fan ticketing experience, allowing for contact-less entry. Tickets will be delivered to current emails on file.
- Clear Bag Policy - UCI has implemented a Clear bag policy in 2021. Only clear bags will be permitted with a maximum size of 12"x12"x6" — the size of a one-gallon freezer bag.
- Seating – Seating is General Admission and not assigned. Â
- Hand Sanitization Stations – Hand sanitizing stations are available at the Bren Events Center.
- Stay Home if Sick – Please do not come to campus if you or others in your party are not feeling well. Symptoms include: Fever (99F+), Chills, Muscle aches, Cough, Shortness of breath, Unexpected fatigue, Sore throat, Loss of taste or smell, Headache, Diarrhea, vomiting, or nausea, Other cold symptoms.
Anteater Stadium
Fans attending the men's and women's soccer games at Anteater Stadium are expected to adhere to the following guidelines.
- Facial Coverings – Facial coverings are strongly recommended for all fans but not required outdoors. All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask while indoors at UCI facilities. UCI Campus Face Covering Guidance

Fans attending the men's water polo games at Anteater Stadium are expected to adhere to the following guidelines.
