IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine earned a 5-2 win in Big West Conference action against UC San Diego, Saturday at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

With the win, UCI improves to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Tritons fall to 1-5 on the season and 0-3 in the Big West.

The Anteaters took the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2-3. Jessica Tsukiji and Jenna Schlatter earned a 6-2 victory over Rachel Wagner and Anu Bhadada at No. 2 while Emily Fowler and Dana Mackensen won, 6-4, over Monica Stratakos/Shweta Kuma at No. 3.

Dasee Carter got things started in singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Julianna Sabile at No. 6 before Schlatter followed with a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Wagner at No. 3.

Fowler clinched the match for the 'Eaters on court five with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Kumar.

Arianna Tilbury capped UCI's wins on court four defeating Bhadada, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
