Sani Garners More Honors

IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine outside hitter Francesco Sani was named Big West Men's Volleyball Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.
The freshman averaged 2.63 kills and hit .289 over two matches against No. 1 Hawaii. His 12 kills in a five-set near upset was one shy of his career-high. He hit .333 in the opener with three digs.
In the second meeting, he hit .467 with nine kills and just two errors in 15 attempts. He added an ace, a block and a dig.
It was a big day of honors as Sani was also named to the Big West All-Freshman team.
