IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team wrapped up its first home meet of the season, hosting the Anteater Distance Twilight Thursday evening.
 
UCI was joined by UCLA, San Diego, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and UC Riverside for five events at Anteater Stadium.
 
Junior Miles Duncan was the runner-up in the 800m, crossing the finish line in 1:56.29.
 
Lukas Amare led a trio of Anteater freshmen in the 1500m with a time of 4:03.88. Cameron Smith also came in at 4:08.01, while AJ Sager clocked in at 4:11.01.
 
Freshman Henry McClish (15:46.40) and junior Christian Hernandez (16:03.35) competed in the 5000m.
 
Sager, sophomore Jason Messner, Duncan and Smith closed out the meet with a time of 3:40.35 in the 4x400 relay.
