HONOLULU, Hawaii – No. 4 UC Irvine used a season-high 16 blocks to take down No. 14 Concordia 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-21, 25-20) in the first match of the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Invitational held at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Anteaters posted a season-high 16 blocks, led by senior
Scott Stadick who totaled 10 total blocks (3 solo, 7 assists). The middle blocker was just as good offensively, hitting .611 on 11 kills and 18 swings and no errors.
UCI (6-3) out-hit Concordia .358 to .154.
