SANTO DOMINGO, D.R. --- Getting underway is the CONCACAF Women's under-20 Championship with spots in the under-20 Women's World Cup on the line, and again an Anteater is representing Mexico as redshirt freshman
Destinee Manzo joins the squad.
Mexico Team Preview
Group stage play gets going Sunday, February 23 for Manzo and Mexico as they have been placed in a group with Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and Guyana. The top two teams in each group will advance to a 16-team knockout round playing down to the final on Sunday, March 8. The two teams that reach the final will earn an automatic berth in the under-20 Women's World Cup in August 2020.
Mexico are the reigning champs of the tournament from 2018, and Manzo has been a vital cog in the team's preseason matches against clubs in Mexico.
