NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – UC Irvine earned a dominating 87-64 win over CSUN Saturday night, clinching at least a share of the Big West regular-season championship.
UCI needs one more win to clinch the Big West regular-season title outright. The Anteaters improve to 19-10 on the season, winning their fourth-straight game, and 11-2 in the Big West.
Evan Leonard hit a career-high six three pointers, going 6-7 from long range to finish with a team-high 18 points. He dished out four assists and a steal.

First Half
> A 7-0 run for UCI gave the 'Eaters an 11-4 lead at the first media break (16:07). Greene had six points in that stretch
> CSUN responded with a 6-2 run that brought the Matadors within three, 18-15, with 12:08 remaining
> The Matadors would knot the game, 25-25, after a Harkless three-pointer at 8:08
> The 'Eaters used a 14-4 run to break open the lead, 42-29, with 3:24 to play.
Austin Johnson capped the run with a jumper
> CSUN came within seven, 42-35, with 1:49 remaining but Leonard hit a three at :48 to send UCI into the locker rooms with a double-digit, 45-35, lead

> Leonard hit three-straight 3-pointers to push UCI's lead to 23, 63-40, with 14:17 remaining
> A Greene layup started an 8-0 run that put the 'Eaters up by 30, 79-49, with 6:53 to play
> An Edgar Jr. layup at 4:21 gave UCI its largest lead of the game, 85-53
