
Anteaters Sit In Sixth At Battle At Old Works

ANACONDA, Mont. – Playing with just four players, UC Irvine held its own after the first two rounds of the Battle at Old Works at the Old Works Golf Course Monday.
With a player out due to sickness, UCI had to count all four scores and is in sixth place after the first 36 holes with a score of 615 (312-305). The Anteaters made a seven stroke improvement on the second round.
Sophomore Sienna Lyford leads UCI with a score of 148, bettering a first round 75 with a team-low 73 on the second. She is currently tied for eighth place (148).
Junior Cameron Lee (77-74) and sophomore Madison Riggs (75-76) are tied for 16th place with a total of 151, while freshman Gabby Gonzalez made her Anteater debut and is tied for 51st position with a score of 165 (85-80).
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes beginning at 7:30 a.m.
