IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine dominated Villanova in a 6-1 victory Tuesday morning at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

UCI wins its fourth-straight match and improves to 6-3 on the season. The Wildcats fall to 8-5 overall.

DOUBLES
> UCI got off to a good start, winning the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead
> Mason Hansen and Daniel Gealer made quick work of Villanova's Stefan Suarez and Tommy Mulflur, winning 6-3 at No. 2
> Bruce Man-Son-Hing and Luis Lopez clinched the point with a 6-2 victory on court three

SINGLES
> UCI won on Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 to earn the 6-1 victory
> Hansen put UCI up 2-0 winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, over the Wildcats' Thomas Dodson
> Daniel Gealer earned a win on court five, 7-5, 6-2, defeating Mulflur
> Aaron Bailey clinched the match with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 victory at No. 4 over Charlie Schuls
> Lopez earned a win at the top spot, 7-6, 6-4
> UCI fell at the No. 2 spot but Mike Mkrtchian ended the day with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 6
