13-seed UC Irvine will battle 12-seed Oregon in the NCAA Tournament Second Round at the SAP Center Sunday at 6:40 p.m. PT. The game will be televised on TBS.

UC IRVINE NCAA TOURNAMENT ROUND TWO NOTES
> UC Irvine won its first ever NCAA Tournament game Friday (Mar. 22) after defeating Kansas State, 70-64. It is UCI's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament with its first appearance coming in 2015

> The Anteaters are riding a program record 17-game winning streak that dates back to Jan. 19. The streak is currently the second-longest in the nation behind Wofford (21 games)

> UCI's 31-5 record is the best in program history. The Anteaters are one of four teams nationally with 31 or more wins (Houston, Buffalo, Gonzaga)
> The Anteaters are 20-1 in 2019

>UCI knocked off its first ranked opponent since beating No. 15 Stanford in 2005

>This was UCI's second win over a Power Five school this year as it previously defeated Texas A&M on the road back in November

> UCI is the last remaining team from California left in the tournament

> This will be the ninth overall meeting between Oregon and UC Irvine. The Ducks hold a 6-2 all-time record over the 'Eaters

> UCI and Oregon last met Dec. 17, 2015 as the Ducks earned a 78-63 victory. Jonathan Galloway was the only current Anteater who played in that game. He had four points and four rebounds in six minutes of action

> The Anteaters last win against the Ducks came on Nov. 29, 1982 when UCI beat Oregon in overtime, 46-44. UCI has lost five-straight against Oregon

> Against Kansas State, Max Hazzard finished with 19 points (March 22). His grandfather, Walt Hazzard had 19 points in UCLA's Final Four win over Kansas State on March 20, 1964

> Hazzard and Evan Leonard each finished with 19 points against K-State. Hazzard knocked down five 3-pointers while Leonard had a team-high six rebounds and four steals. 15 of Leonard's 19 points came in the second half

> Leonard was a perfect 9-for-9 at the free throw line setting a new UC Irvine record for most consecutive free throws with 42-straight. The junior guard recorded two free throws at 12:25 of the second half to better previous record of 34 set by Johnny Rogers (1984-85)

> Elston Jones added 11 points and five boards while grad student Robert Cartwright finished with 10 points and three assists

> Jonathan Galloway tied the Big West career games played record against Kansas State with his 145th appearance. He tied UNLV's Stacey Augmon (1988-91) for the distinction, and will have sole possession of the record as long as he takes the court Sunday
 
> Through the three Big West Tournament games and NCAA first round, Elston Jones is averaging 6.8 ppg and 5.0 rpg. He has five blocks over four games. Robert Cartwright is averaging 10.3 ppg and 3.0 apg while Collin Welp is averaging 12.3 ppg and 4.0 rpg. Max Hazzard is averaging 17.3 ppg while Evan Leonard is at 13.8 ppg

> Through the four postseason games, UCI's scoring margin is 15.3 points and is shooting 49.1 percent from the field. The Anteaters are out-scoring opponents in the paint 136-76

> Hazzard: 6 straight games in double figures, 16.7 ppg in that stretch

> Leonard: 7 straight games in double figures, 14.6 ppg in that stretch

> The Anteaters are 10-0 in games that are decided by eight points or fewer

> Senior Jonathan Galloway the three-time Big West Defensive Player of the Year upped his career rebounds total to 958. He is also UCI's career wins leader with 95

> Senior Elston Jones has had a block in 16-straight games. He has also had a block in every game but four this season

> Senior Spencer Rivers has more NCAA Tournament wins than his brother and current Houston Rockets player Austin Rivers

> Max Hazzard has hit five or more threes in six games this season

> This season, UCI is 6-1 when playing in a hockey arena
