FIRST SERVE
After only two matches over the last two weeks, UCI has a busy schedule, playing three matches in five days.
 
The Anteaters start at UC Riverside Tuesday (Nov. 5) for a 7:00 p.m. match at the Student Recreation Center Arena.
 
UCI then begins a four-match homestand with Long Beach State Friday (Nov. 8) and CSUN Saturday (Nov. 9). First serve for both matches is 7:00 p.m. from the Bren Events Center.

STORYLINES
UC Riverside is 5-17 overall and 1-10 in the Big West.
 
The Highlanders are the only conference foe the Anteaters haven't played this season.
 
Both teams will look to snap a losing streaks with UCI dropping five straight and the Highlanders falling in its last 10 outings.

UCR's lone league win was against Cal State Fullerton in the conference opener.

Long Beach State is 8-15 on the year and 5-6 in league action.

The Beach is coming off a 3-0 victory over UC Riverside and a 3-2 loss against UC Davis last week.

In the first meeting with LBSU, UCI hit a season-low .045 (19-15-89) in a 3-0 loss. Carrissa MacDonald and Abby Marjama led the Anteaters in kills with six apiece, while Kashauna Williams and Amanda Henderson paced Long Beach with 12 kills each.

CSUN enters the week 10-13 overall and 5-6 in the Big West. The Matadors will head to Cal State Fullerton Friday before visiting the Bren Center.

CSUN is on a two-match winning streak, sweeping UC Davis and UC Riverside last week.

The Matadors out-hit UC Irvine .199 (64-32-161) to .092 (43-30-142) in the 3-2 win earlier this season. Makayla Wolfe led the Anteaters with 11 kills, while Onye Ofoegbu added 10 kills. Lexi McLeod topped the Matadors with 13 kills, 11 digs and four aces.
 
ABOUT THE ANTEATERS
UCI is 4-17 overall and 1-8 in the Big West.

The Anteaters have played the fourth toughest schedule in the conference according to the NCAA.

UCI is still looking for a win on a Saturday (0-9).

LAST TIME OUT
UCI lost 3-1 at Cal State Fullerton despite recording several career-highs.

Abby Marjama posted a double-double with a career-high 22 kills and 15 digs. Joy Umeh made the start and had a career-high 10 kills, while setter Kelly Negron tallied a personal-best 56 set assists. Libero Chloe Owens recorded a career-high 21 digs and Carrissa MacDonald had a career-high 10 digs.

MARJAMA & CARTER LEAD
Sophomore outside hitter Abby Marjama leads the squad in kills (2.80) and aces (0.26). She averages 2.91 kills against Big West opponents which ranks eighth.

Marjama has recorded double-figure kills 12 times this season and her 22 kills last weekend ranked third most by a Big West player in a four set match.

Junior Loryn Carter is second on the squad with a 2.34 kill average. The outside hitter has been sidelined for the last five matches with a hand injury.

IN THE MIDDLE
Senior Makayla Wolfe and freshman Onye Ofoegbu share the team lead in blocks with a 0.84 average.

Ofoegbu averages 2.00 kills, followed by Wolfe at 1.91.  Wolfe has 10 aces.

NEGRON QUARTERBACKS ANTEATERS
Freshman setter Kelly Negron is averaging 8.03 set assists, while adding 2.49 digs per set. She ranks seventh among Big West players in assists.  Her 56 set assists against the Titans is fifth most in the Big West this season.

ON DEFENSE
Several players will play on the backline for UCI. Libero Chloe Owens tops the squad in digs with a 2.84 mark, which is ninth best in the conference. Owens has recorded double-digit digs on 11 occasions.

Senior Erin Alonso is averaging 1.79 digs over 42 sets, while freshman Bailey Darnell owns a 1.57 dig mark over 14 sets and junior Laura Butler is averaging 1.36 digs in 61 games.
