IRVINE, Calif. – Tomorrow UCI will celebrate the career of Scott Brooks with the retirement of his No. 12 jersey at the men's basketball game versus Eastern Michigan at 7:00 p.m. at the Bren Events Center.
In the culmination of the 12 Days of Scott Brooks, we asked the ultimate question – Why No. 12?
If you've ever heard Brooks speak about the success he has achieved in his life, the conversation always comes back to one person – his mother, Lee. So it is no wonder when asked why he wore the No. 12, the answer is "It was my mother's favorite number."
So as he honored his ultimate role model, UCI honors the contributions of the former point guard on and off the court at halftime. Don't miss the celebration
(Tickets). No. 12 t-shirts will be given out to the first 1,000 fans.
