IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's cross country team is headed to Colfax, Washington, for the NCAA West Regional on Friday, Nov. 15. The 6K race is slated for an 11:30 a.m. start at the Colfax Golf Club.
The West Regional features 37 teams on the women's side, including nationally-ranked Stanford (No. 2), Washington (No. 4), Boise State (No. 13) and Oregon (No. 19).
All nine NCAA Regional meets will take place on Friday. The top two team finishers of each regional automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships. The top four individuals who are not on a qualifying team will also advance to nationals. The remaining 13 at-large teams and two additional individuals will be selected by the NCAA Division I Cross Country Subcommittee.
Seven 'Eaters are entered in the NCAA West Regional - Elizabeth Celada Padilla, Hannah Chau, Brenda Dorantes, Anastasia Karnaze, Claire Livengood, Patricia Sanchez and Mariah Theologidy.

• This is the Anteaters' first out-of-state trip of 2019. It is also the first time they will be competing on a Friday this season.
