BERKELEY, Calif. – No. 15 UC Irvine dropped a non-conference tilt to No. 7 California, 10-7, Sunday in Berkeley.
 
UCI falls to 6-13 on the season while the Golden Bears improve to 12-9 overall.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
> Casey Lynton and Carson Arnett each had two goals
> Jason Evezard, Bryant Joudrie and Chad Gornay each scored once
> Harrison Land grabbed eight saves and three steals
> Cal's Safak Simsek and Jack Deely each had four goals

> Lynton and Cal's Simsek exchanged back and forth goals as Lynton tallied two and Simsek had three
> Cal entered half time with a 5-4 lead

Quarter Three 
> Arnett opened up with a goal off a pass from Nikocevic at 6:44 to tie the game, 5-5
> Cal answered with three-straight goals to take an 8-5 lead at 5:20
> Joudrie and Gornay each scored a goal within the last three minutes to make it an 8-7 game

Quarter Four
> UCI was shut-out in the fourth quarter as Cal scored twice to seal the 10-7 win
