IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's basketball team announced several changes to its 2018-19 non-conference schedule.

UCI will now open the season at home against Idaho Tuesday, Nov. 6. The Anteaters were previously set to play Life Pacific on that date and will now host LPC on Monday, Nov. 12.

The 'Eaters were originally slated to face Texas A&M on Nov. 12, but that game has been moved to Friday, Nov. 9 and will still be played in College Station.

UCI will participate in the 2018 Gulf Coast Showdown in Ft. Myers, Florida Nov. 19-21, replacing the originally scheduled Vancouver Showcase (Nov. 18-20). The Gulf Coast Showdown field features South Dakota State, Florida Gulf Coast, Louisiana, Toledo, Tulane, UTSA and Colorado State. The Anteaters will play three games with the event bracket released shortly.

Additionally, the home game against Pacific Union on Nov. 24 has been canceled.
