Tara Prentice and
Natalie Seidemann were named All-America by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.
Prentice, a freshman utility, was a second team honoree, while Seidemann, a senior center, was an honorable mention selection. Both Anteaters are first time All-America recipients.
In her first season with UCI, Prentice led the team in scoring with 42 goals. She also topped the roster in assists (25) and steals (40). The Temecula native tallied eight field blocks and drew 20 exclusions. She matched a career-best four goals in three games this season and scored at least one goal in all but seven contests. Prentice was also named to the All-Big West First Team.
Seidemann's breakout senior season led her to honorable mention accolades. The center was second on the team with 40 goals. She led the Anteaters with 23 drawn exclusions and tallied 10 steals. Seidemann had a career-high five goal performance against UC San Diego this season and led the team in scoring in eight contests. She also earned All-Big West Second Team honors.
UCI finished the year with a 15-14 overall record and made its sixth NCAA Championship appearance.
