
Women's Cross Country Places Six on Big West All-Academic Team

IRVINE, Calif. -- UC Irvine women's cross country had six student-athletes honored by the conference for their work in the classroom.
Seniors Olympia Martinez and Jenessa Reyes, junior Megan Mirkhanian, and sophomores Keely Boyd, Brenda Dorantes and Anastasia Karnaze, each earned Big West Fall All-Academic distinction.
The Anteaters had the most honorees among the other Big West schools in women's cross country.
In order to be considered for all-academic recognition, student-athletes must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, have completed one full year at their institution and have participated in 50 percent of the team's contests.
