Hadley Collects First Big West Athlete of the Week Award

IRVINE, Calif. – Senior Emma Hadley has been named the Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
In her season debut, Hadley won the UC Riverside Invitational 6K. She led the 269-runner field by five seconds, crossing the line in a personal-record 20:09.9. Hadley's PR moved her up six spots to No. 4 in program history. It is also the top 6K time in the Big West this year. Hadley paced the Anteaters to their first 6K team title since 2024.
This is Hadley's first career weekly award.
UC Irvine will be back in action at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield, Oregon, on Friday, Oct. 9.
