DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's tennis team struggled to find any momentum against Big West opponent UC Davis, dropping a 7-0 decision Thursday afternoon at Marya Welch Tennis Center.

The loss puts UCI at 0-3 in conference play and 8-10 on the season. The Aggies improve to 12-3 overall and 5-1 in Big West play.

UC Davis took the doubles point with wins at Nos. one and two. On court three, Yulin Chen and Stephanie Nguyen were up, 5-3, against Bella von Ebbe and Kelsie Bryant, before the match was cut short.
The Aggies continued to roll in singles as Kristina Breisacher defeated Stephanie Hazell in the top spot, 1-6, 2-6, and Flora Amiria fell on court two, 4-6, 1-6.

The match was clinched at No. 2 when Lani-Rae Green defeated Stephanie Nguyen, 6-0, 7-5.

Jacqueline Tsodikova dropped a 0-6 decision in the first set at No. 6 but came back stronger in the second set before ultimately falling, 6-7 (2-7). On court five, Arianna Tilbury suffered a 5-7, 1-6 setback to von Ebbe while Chen fell at No. 4, 3-6, 4-6.

UCI will conclude its northern California trip with a non-conference match against Sacramento State at 10 a.m.
