Wolfe's Eight Aces Earn Her Anteater of the Week Honors

This week's Buffalo Wild Wings Anteater of the Week is Makayla Wolfe of the women's volleyball team. The junior middle blocker from Corona, Calif., led the Anteaters to a 3-0 sweep at Big West rival Cal State Fullerton this past Saturday night.
Wolfe was lethal from the service line, recording a career-high eight aces, which stand as the second-most in a match in UC Irvine women's volleyball history. Wolfe hit a team-best .643 against the Titans, recording 10 kills along with two block assists. Against UC Riverside last Friday night, the junior added another two aces and four total blocks.
Fans can support Wolfe and the 'Eaters two more times at home this season, with matches against Big West foes UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. and No. 22 Cal Poly on Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. UCI finishes their season on the road at Hawai'i on Nov. 15.
