UC Irvine welcomes sixth-ranked Pacific to Anteater Aquatics Complex Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. to kick off the Golden Coast Conference season.

Newport Rib Company will provide food to registered fans in attendance of Friday night's game against Pacific while supplies last.

All UCI home games are complimentary, but fans are required to register online to be eligible for the promotional items. > UCI hosts the Alumni game Sunday, Oct. 7 at 12:00 p.m.

WEEKEND STORYLINES
> UCI is 5-6 on the season after dropping a game to No. 4 Cal last week
> Pacific enters the weekend with a 5-5 overall record. The Tigers recently dropped games to UC Santa Barbara, USC and UCLA
> The Anteaters are 63-17 all-time against the Tigers, however UCI has suffered seven-straight losses to UOP
> The two teams met in last season's Golden Coast Conference title game as Pacific earned a 9-5 victory to win the GCC Championship
> UCI has not won a game against the Tigers since Oct. 2014
> Luke Pavillard and Engin Ege Colak lead Pacific with 35 and 31 goals, respectively
> Alen Osmanovic has 74 saves in goal for the Tigers
> Pavillard and UCI's Jason Evezard are currently tied for second in the GCC in scoring (35 goals)

> Lazar Manojlovic led the 'Eaters with three goals, notching his first hat trick of the season

EVEZARD EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK RECOGNITION
> Sophomore Jason Evezard was named the Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 27
> It was the first weekly honor of Evezard's career and the first for the Anteaters this season
> Evezard earned the honor after scoring seven goals over two games. He had three goals in UCI's win over Concordia and notched a game-high four goals against No. 2 UCLA

NEWS AND NOTES
> UCI moved to No. 12 in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) national rankings after starting the year at No. 10
> Sophomore transfer Jason Evezard wasted no time making an immediate impact on the UCI roster as he leads the team with 35 goals
> Evezard has scored at least once in every game and a team-best eight hat tricks and a 10-1 record in sprints
> Byron Rivers has started every game in goal for the Anteaters, compiling 125 saves for a .548 save percentage
> Rivers leads the Golden Coast Conference in saves (125)
> Evezard is tied for second in the GCC in goals (35)
> Rivers leads the team in steals with 13
> Ian Fleenor, Evezard and Bryant Joudrie each have 10 assists on the season
> After scoring 21 goals this season, Jack Trush now has 89 career goals. The senior leads the team with 26 drawn exclusions
> UCI has out-scored opponents 123-108
> The 'Eaters are averaging 11.18 goals per game while holding their opponents to 9.82 gpg
